•The study investigated the effects of psPEF on angiogenesis in the cervical cancer xenograft models.•Severe and chronic hypoxia was caused within subcutaneously transplanted tumor after psPEF treatment.•PsPEF caused a downward trend of tumor angiogenesis-related factors.
