Parent Education in Pediatric Waiting Rooms: A Novel Tobacco Control Program

The goal of this program is to determine if educating parents in the waiting room in pediatric practices leads to:1. Increased awareness of the effects of second and third hand smoke.2. Better preparation to accept AAR (Ask, Advise, Refer) counseling cessation techniques.3. Smoking cessation or reduction by parents and teenagers.This program is part of a Plan Do Study Act cycle.
