摘要
•6 months of FaME exercise decreases falls incidence and increases habitual physical activity in a low falls risk population.•FaME exercise reduces falls-related injuries, both during the intervention and one year after.•Otago exercise does not appear to reduce falls in a low falls risk population.•The benefits of a 6 month strength and balance training programme are lost two years after the intervention.•Those who maintained physical activity levels post-intervention continued to show a reduction in falls 2 years later.
