The Use Of The Scintillation Hodoscope In The First-Level Trigger Of The Svd-2 Setup To Search For Charm Particles In Hadron-Hadron Interactions

A method for including the hodoscope of the SVD-2 setup in the first-level trigger is presented. Using the difference in the occupation of the scintillation hodoscope planes with charged tracks from the charm-production and background events, it is possible to highly enrich the sample with the events with the charm-particle decays, The trigger may be optimized for extracting the charm events with the given decay mode. The numerical estimations were obtained by the Monte Carlo simulation of pp-interactions at 70 GeV/c, and according to the PYTHIA and GEANT 3 programs.
