Epidemiological Observations On Haemorrhagic Septicemia In Haryana State

Pasteurella multocida has been implicated in haemorrhagic septicemia with two serotypes viz. Asian serotype B : 2 and African serotype E:2. Both these serotypes can cause per acute septicemia resulting in high mortality. High morbidity and mortality have been observed in bovines in the-state of Haryana (Jindal et al., 2002) In this paper, data, pertinent to HS outbreaks in cattle and buffaloes that occurred during two year period (July 2003 June 2005) in the State of Haryana, are presented.
