CONTEMPORARY TRENDS IN THE MANAGEMENT AND OUTCOMES OF PATIENTS WITH FAMILIAL HYPERCHOLESTEROLEMIA IN CANADA

Heterozygeous Familial Hypercholesterolemia (HeFH) is one of the most common genetic diseases in the world and an important cause of premature cardiovascular (CV) disease. While our knowledge of the causes of HeFH has advanced and has led to the development of novel therapies, important knowledge gaps still exist. The purpose of this study was to characterize clinical features, current treatment patterns and CV outcomes of the HeFH population in British Columbia, Canada.
