An Analytical Method for Metamaterial Unit Cells in Multilayered Media

摘要
Sensing is one of the promising applications of metamaterials. Lumped element analytical models for metamaterial inspired sensors are needed for design and analysis purposes. In this paper, an analytical model for complementary split ring resonators is presented. The method is able to model the structure in multilayered dielectric media effectively. The analytical model is verified using CST Microwave Studio. Average difference between numerical and analytical results is 1%.
