Abstract
Non-technical skills (NTS), such as communication and professionalism, contribute to safe and effective completion of procedures. Studies in the surgical literature show that NTS can be taught using simulation-based training (SBT). The impact of dedicated instruction in NTS as applied to endoscopy has yet to be evaluated.
