摘要

•We proposed a performance evaluation method of topographic correction models.•We estimated the histogram structural similarity (HSSIM) index for the evaluation.•The HSSIM index is defined and estimated from the sunlit and sun-shaded slope areas.•The evaluation method was validated by using visual analysis.
