We consider the application of multipole based dictionaries, used in the sparse processing framework, for microwave imaging of complex-shaped dielectric targets. We investigate the influence of different subarray configurations on the imaging accuracy. In addition, we examine the images obtained using multipoles of different orders from the prospective of the spectral content of the scattered field.
