State estimation of IEEE 14 bus with unified interphase power controller (UIPC) using WLS method

Conventional state estimation methods are unsuitable for power systems with FACTS devices. A new approach to state estimation of power systems with unified interphase power controllers (UIPC) is proposed. The required extension of the conventional model of the system necessitates use of constraints on the limits of operation and ratings of the UIPC. Results of tests of the IEEE 14 bus system using weighted least squares (WLS) are presented.
