How Do Marginalized Young People Navigate the Australian Healthcare System?

Purpose: Disparities in health and well-being exist among those who are socially and economically marginalized due to factors such as cultural background, gender identity, sexuality, forced migration and social economic status. Access, engagement and navigation around health systems are key components of universal health coverage: timely and affordable access to healthcare for all groups (WHO, 2016). Research about healthcare access and navigation of healthcare systems by marginalized young people, including their use of technology, is limited.
