摘要
Nd:YAG laser emerges as an established tool in dental application attributable to its applicability for both soft and hard dental tissues. This study aims to evaluate the morphological changes and mineral content of human enamel after Nd: YAG laser radiation with Nd:YAG laser 1064 nm wavelength and 3 mm beam diameter. The surface of enamel contains adhesive material Transbond Plus (self-etching primer (SEP)). In the experiment, we analyzed three types of teeth: (a) raw teeth, (b) teeth with adhesive material, and (c) teeth after laser irradiation. We adopted Field Emission Scanning Microscopy (FESEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) to analyze the physical characteristics and chemical characteristics of the teeth, respectively. We irradiated the samples with 1.5 Hz of pulse rate, 200 ms of pulse width and 150 J cm(-2), 200 J cm(-2), 250 J cm(-2), and 300 J cm(-2) of energy fluence. In this article, we discuss the multiple setting fluence of Nd: YAG laser EDX analysis of enamel embodying the consideration of elements such as, oxygen, phosphorus, calcium, silicon and carbon. The FESEM analysis demonstrates that, at fluence energy between 250-300 J cm(-2), the ablation of adhesive material is effective. The result indicates that Cynosure Cynergy Nd:YAG laser can be adopted to remove Transbond Plus SEP.
