Dynamic event tree analysis with the SAS4A/SASSYS-1 safety analysis code

•The dynamic event tree methodology was applied to a sodium-cooled fast reactor.•The SAS4A/SASSYS-1 safety analysis code was used to represent a transient overpower.•ADAPT was used to explore the time-dependent uncertainties of the transient.•Events were evaulated using dynamic importance measures for impact on outcomes.
