摘要
A novel high-performance indirect real- and reactive-power control (IRRPC) scheme for induction motor (IM) drives is proposed. The IRRPC consists in adjusting the instantaneous real and reactive powers flowing in and out of the IM. No flux and torque estimation is required, which is a major advantage of the IRRPC. As a result, this control strategy is more robust than the popular field-oriented control (FOC) and direct torque control (DTC). The IRRPC significantly improves certain disadvantages of the FOC and DTC, such as the sensitivity to motor parameter variations and degraded quality of performance at very low speed. There is no need for integration of complex observers with the control strategy or of addition of extra sensors. For confirmation of effectiveness of the proposed control strategy, experimental studies in a wide speed range with accurate and erroneous assumption of motor parameters are carried out and the results are compared with those when the drive is controlled using the classic indirect FOC and DTC.
