Implementation and applications of a new real-time framework for plasma control system in HL-2A

•MRTF provides a real-time runtime framework which adopts multi-thread parallel technology.•A modular design solutions is given by MRTF to allow various plasma control categories being integrated.•The plasma real-time equilibrium module can calculate plasma profile by grid of 129*129 within 700us on HL-2A experiment.
