摘要

•Net ecosystem exchange of CH4 (FCH4) was measured above a tropical peat swamp forest by using eddy covariance technique.•Diurnal variation in FCH4 showed a marked peak in the morning.•FCH4 showed positive relationship with GWL or soil moisture.•Annual FCH4 was 7.5–10.8 g C m–2 yr–1, which was much higher than annual soil CH4 emissions from tropical peatlands.
