Nuclear heat analysis for the ITER Vacuum Vessel regular sector

摘要
•The assessment of nuclear loads to the ITER Vacuum Vessel is critical in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the machine.•The nuclear loads to the ITER Vacuum Vessel due to 14-MeV neutrons from the 500 MW inductive DT plasma were calculated based on Monte Carlo radiation transport simulations.•The vacuum vessel upper power deposition estimation is 20.9 MW ± 2.3 MW which fulfills the capacity of the heat removal system.•Computed nuclear loads are used as input to subsequent thermal-hydraulics and thermal-mechanics analyses.
