Psychiatric disorders are associated with polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) abnormalities and altered brain white matter (WM) integrity. We investigated the effect of PUFA bioavailability and membrane dynamics, in utero and childhood, on brain WM integrity and neurocognitive performance across childhood development.
