Cover Feature: Self‐Assemblies of Zinc Bacteriochlorophyll‐d Analogues Having Amide, Ester, and Urea Groups As Substituents at 17‐position and Observation of Lamellar Supramolecular Nanostructures (chemphyschem 8/2018)

The Cover Feature displays lamellar nanostructures visible in cryo-EM and built up by supramolecular assemblies of semi-synthetic zinc chlorophyll-a derivatives which mimic natural chlorosomal bacteriochlorophyll-d pigments. Such supramolecules were reinforced by additional intermolecular hydrogen bonding of the 17-substituents. More information can be found in the Article by S. Shoji, H.
