P110 in Vivo Effects of Rhdnase and Saline Solution on Sputum in Patients with Cystic Fibrosis Using Rheology

Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PSAE) bronchial infection was present in 19 pts.An association between HR and FEV1 was observed ( p < 0.05).This trend was greater in women ( p < 0.001).The variables with the largest capacity to predict FEV1.values were HR ( p < 0,05) and PaO 2 ( p < 0,001).Group G2, containing 7 males and 13 females, presented median age of 28 years [23;46] and BMI of 21.15 kg/m 2 [17,8;29].The mean FEV1pred.was 62.82% ± 20.62.Three pts had CF related diabetes, 12 pts had exocrine PI and 12 had PSAE bronchial infection.Over 6 years, for every 1% FEV1pred lost, a 0.4128 bpm rise was notated ( p < 0,05).Pts with larger FEV1 decline were also those with larger HR rise ( p < 0,05).Conclusions: Considering G1 and G2, we verified that HR varies inversely with FEV1, and hence, HR is predictive of FEV1.Thus, HR can be considered as a potential candidate to integrate scoring severity scores.
