Optimization of plant light source based on simulated annealing particle swarm optimization algorithm

The growth of plants depends on light. Commonly red and blue LED used as a plant source in plant factories. However, this kind of plant light often has the problem of uneven illumination, which leads to uneven growth of plant growth and uneven quality. Therefore, in order to solve the above problems and cultivate plants with similar growth and high quality, we carried out optimization research on the red and blue LED plant light source used in plant factories. First of all, we constructed an evaluation function based on the optical properties of LED, and the problem of obtaining illumination uniformity is transformed into the extreme value of the evaluation function. Then the simulated annealing particle swarm optimization algorithm was used to optimize the LED rectangular array with mixed red and blue light, and the uniform LED arrangement of illumination was obtained. Finally, using the optical simulation software, the optimized LED array was simulated to verify its uniformity, thus the optimization of the LED plant light source was realized. The results shown that the simulated annealing particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to optimize the light sources of red and blue LED in rectangular arrangement, it can improve the uniformity of illumination and the plants in all positions can obtain similar illumination. The most important is that this study is beneficial to the research of plant light source and plant production, which laid the foundation for the development of modern agriculture.
