Deltaic deposits indicative of a paleo-coastline at Aeolis Dorsa, Mars

•We study eight topographically inverted deposits in southeast Aeolis Dorsa, Mars.•Deposits have stratigraphic architecture consistent with that of a river delta.•These deposits are unconfined to crater basin and north of the hemispheric dichotomy.•Location/depositional environment suggest influence by northern hemispheric ocean.
