Role of road network features in the evaluation of incident impacts on urban traffic mobility

•Network features are leveraged to study incident-induced impacts on road networks mobility.•Four network features are extracted to reflect the distinctive functionality of urban intersections.•Incidents impacts are measured in both temporal and spatial dimension.•Temporally, accident delay is significantly correlated with the Betweenness Centrality and K-shell.•Spatially, micro impact and macro impact are found to be strongly associated with the four network features.
