Sleep disturbance, as a stress-related disorder, is common in patients with heart failure (HF). Newly emerging evidence suggests that renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system activation (RAAS) may play a role not only as a biomarker, but a mediator involved in the pathophysiology of sleep disturbance.
