Bandpass Filter Based on New Spiral Hexagonal Split Ring Resonator
2017 MEDITERRANEAN MICROWAVE SYMPOSIUM (MMS)(2017)
摘要
The purpose of this study is to analyze and design a Chebyshev type bandpass filter using split ring resonators (SRR) to obtain a miniaturized structure. The modeling of this structure consists mainly in developing new resonators with low permeability, which reduces the use of this element for the design of filters. The obtained result shows a miniaturization rate equal to 32% for the developed SRR compared to the reference SRR. The designed bandpass filter size according to the wavelength is equal to 0.138 λ × 0.055 λ. Its bandwidth is approximately 247 MHz at -3 dB, and the transmission coefficient S21 obtained at 1.7 GHz is around -0.58 dB. The miniaturization rate obtained is about 58% with respect to the U-shaped resonator technology. We carried out 3D simulations using CST Microwave Studio software to validate the obtained results. 3D simulations are also implemented for the same geometrical and physical parameters of this filter using HFSS software.
