摘要
•3- to 6-year-old children successfully made numerical judgments across modalities.•Children exhibited a cross-modal disadvantage when numerical comparisons were easy.•Accuracy on bimodal trial types led to even more accurate numerical judgments.•This trend was strongest for youngest participants.•This trend was also strongest for precise numerical matching.•Like adults, children track and compare visual and auditory numerical information.
