摘要
•Soil CO2 efflux was continuously measured in oil palm plantation on tropical peat.•Diurnal change was controlled by thermal convection and atmospheric turbulence.•Seasonal CO2 efflux was promoted by lowering groundwater level.•Peat oxidation accounted for 66% of soil respiration.•Peat oxidation accounted for 72–74% of total subsidence.
