Identification of somatic mutations in follicular lymphoma by targeted next generation sequencing

Background: The majority of patients with follicular lymphoma (FL) have an indolent course however a proportion will transform to high grade lymphoma (tFL). There are limited data on the significance of somatic mutations in FL in relation to grade and risk of progression. Recent whole genome and exome sequencing have revealed mutations in FL and tFL with potential clinical significance.
