摘要

•Magnetic fluids based on dextran-coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles were synthesized.•Coated colloids in form of magnetic clusters of several Fe3O4 nanoparticle cores.•Magnetic interaction between clusters strongly influence on heating capacity.•Magnetic fluids show high intrinsic loss power value and low toxicity.
