Brain State-dependent Alterations of Corticostriatal Synchronized Oscillations in Awake and Anesthetized Parkinsonian Rats.

•Corticostriatal beta oscillatory synchronization was observed in parkinsonian rats.•Urethane induced an enhanced low beta oscillation only during the activated state.•Urethane significantly reduced the beta peak frequency during the activated state.•Pentobarbital and isoflurane inhibited the corticostriatal beta synchronization.
