摘要

•Influence of alkyl chain length on C-2 methylated IL properties was studied.•Interactions between studied 1,2,3-trialkyl-substitued ILs and GBL were discussed.•Viscosity increases in the case of C-2 methylated ILs.•Properties of methylated ILs regularly change with increase of the alkyl chain length.•Absence of hydrogen bonding between GBL and methylated ILs is observed.
