Effect of a blockage length on the coolability during reflood in a 2 × 2 rod bundle with a 90% partially blocked region

•This test was conducted to understand the effect of blockage length on the coolability.•Reflood tests were conducted with blockage simulators for various reflood rates.•The coolability in the downstream of the blockage region is significantly enhanced.
