Vascular Function in Hepatitis C Patients – a Cross Sectional Study

Cardiovascular (CV) diseases are the leading cause for increased morbidity and mortality in high income countries. There are a number of well-known traditional CV risk factors. The effect of hepatitis C virus (HCV) on vascular function is not well investigated. Pulse wave analysis is used to determine the augmentation index (AIx), a marker of vascular dysfunction.
