Evaluating The Self-Consumption Of A Solar House In Coastal Region Of Bou Ismail, Algeria

This paper presents the findings of the study investigating the utilization of electricity produced by the solar photovoltaic (PV) system installed in a house for satisfying the energy demand of a family for one year. The evaluation of the self-consumption has been done using a PV plant installed on the coastal site of Bou Ismail (Algeria), the energy demand is based on the specific energy needs of the house for each season. It appears that for the spring and autumn the energy demands of the house are well satisfied. This is not the case for the winter and the summer where a lack of energy is high. The implementation of the Demand Side Management (DSM) must be done in order to meet the self-consumption of the house.
