Durable, optically transparent, superhydrophobic polymer films

摘要
•Fabricated optically transparent superhydrophobic free-standing polymer films.•Induced polymer flow via heat and pressure to partially embed particles at surface.•Demonstrated durability of superhydrophobic properties in turbulent water tunnel.•Maintained contact angles >150° after 25,000 L/6 h of flowing water.•Measured transmittance of >87% at 500 nm with excellent optical clarity.
