Assessing ecosystem service provision in a tropical region with high forest cover: Spatial overlap and the impact of land use change in Amapá, Brazil

•We explore spatial links between 9 ecosystem services (ES) in a tropical region of high forest cover.•Both positive (n = 20) and negative (n = 12) spatial associations were found.•Agricultural lands and forests had the highest total ES output.•Forest ES provision varied nonlinearly with distance to the forest edge.•The approach provides a broad perspective at low cost of ES provision over a vast tropical region.
