Groove Gap wave guide Slot Array Antenna in Millimeter Wave Band

In this paper, a millimeter-wave wave guide slot array antenna based on groove gap wave guide (GGW) technology is proposed. It has been shown that GGW is an appropriate alternative for the conventional rectangular wave guide in the millimeter wave range since there is no need for electrical contacts between metal parts to confine the field to the propagating channel. The proposed antenna provides the fractional bandwidth of 4.5% and maximum gain of 14.4 dBi at the operating frequency.
