Optimal Self-Scheduling Of Combined-Cycle Units Considering Reserve Provision During Transition Process

In this paper, we propose a self-scheduling model of energy and reserve for combined-cycle gas turbines (CCGT). The hybrid CCGT model recently proposed by the authors is deployed for energy and reserve scheduling of CCGT operation. In addition, practical issue of CCGT scheduling in current market, i.e., reserve provision during transition process, is elaborately modeled. The proposed model is formulated as a mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) problem and solved via the state-of-the-art commercial solver. Numerical test results on a modified IEEE 118-bus system show effectiveness of the proposed approach.
