Signal Processing of GNSS data for Winter Sports

In this paper, we focused on utilization of human sensing technology and discussed the possibility of realizing a new service utilizing GNSS data at ski resort. The skier player wearing the GNSS receiver collected the raw data of the measurement, performed the data processing and considered from the measurement result. This showed that it is possible to collect GNSS data at the ski resort. Utilizing these data, we were able to find the possibility of introducing billing and subscribing system for lift operation. Furthermore, since it can measure movement trajectory, we considered that it can be applied to tools to support retrospective of ski player during practice.
