摘要

•A novel model for gas transport capacity through elliptical nanopores is proposed.•All bulk-gas flow mechanisms can be covered by the proposed model.•The aspect ratio of elliptical shape has a crucial effect on gas transport behavior.•Widely used pore-shape assumption as the circle will result in great discrepancy.
