Case Study: Comparison of MRI techniques for demonstrating successful Ultrasound Targeting: BOLD Compared with ASL Functional Imaging

Introduction: Focused ultrasound has been proposed as a method of increasing focal perfusion and opening up the blood-brain barrier for the delivery of pharmaceuticals and particulate agents. The present case study is a demonstration of functional MRI technology in a potential role for the accurate targeting of focused ultrasound.
