摘要
To quantify the cast data made from a mixture of N-butyl cyanoacrylate (NBCA) and Lipiodol with or without ethanol in vitro: volume, expansion rate (the cast volume ratio to net NBCA), weight and density of the cast. The cast was made from 10ml swine blood and a 0.1ml various mixture of NBCA, Lipiodol without ethanol (NL), or with ethanol (NLE): volume ratio of 1:1:0 (NL11), 1:3:0 (NL13) 1:9:0 (NL19), 2:2:1 (NLE221), 1:1:1 (NLE111) or 1:1:2 (NLE112). The volume and the expansion rate of each cast were calculated by semiautomated volumetry on the workstation (ZIO) based on CT. The density of each cast was calculated by dividing the weight of the extracted cast from swine blood. The expansion rates of the casts without ethanol (40.8±8.2 in NL11, 85.0±14.1 in NL13 and 245.6±31.5 in NL19) were significantly higher than the ones of NBCA with ethanol (46.9±13.4 in 221, 46.9±20.4 in 111 and 36.5±9.0 in 112). In the former groups, the expansion rate was significantly (p<0.05) elevated in accordance with the Lipiodol ratio, while there was no significant difference in the latter group. The density of the cast made from NL13 (0.66±0.15g/ml in 221) was biggest of all. In NLE group (NLE221, NLE111 and NLE112), there was no significant difference. The expansion rate of the cast was positively related with the ratio of Lipiodol. It may be useful to estimate required volume of glue for the lesion such as an aneurysm.
