Abstract
•Cross-linked polycarboxylate superplasticizers were synthesized.•Fluidity of cement pastes with SPs improved as the molecular weights of cross-linkers increased.•The maximum flow reached up to 394 mm and the slump retention performance was excellent at the W/C of 0.35.•Cement system properties (adsorption, hydration, compressive strength etc.) were determined.
