Home Healthcare Integrated Staffing and Scheduling

•We present a two-stage stochastic programming model for employee staffing and scheduling in home healthcare.•The model is tested on real-world instances to evaluate the impact on costs and service level by using recourse actions.•Results show that when compared with a deterministic model, the stochastic model leads to significant cost savings.
