摘要
Hen's egg (HE) allergy is one of the most common food allergies in childhood, affecting 1 - 2% of young children. Usually 66% are resolved 5 years after diagnosis (1). The new EAACI guidelines in allergen immunotherapy (2017), proposes that oral immunotherapy (OIT) with HE has a grade B recommendation, as a treatment option in children with persistent allergy, from around 4-5 years of age. As HE is a common ingredient in many foods, strict avoidance is difficult. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
