Optical Wireless Camera Communications Using Neuromorphic Vision Sensors

Camera Communications (CamCom) is the transmission of data using modulated lights acting as transmitters and a digital camera acting as a receiver. We propose a novel high speed CamCom system using Neuromorphic Vision Sensor (NVS) cameras. We present novel algorithms for detection and demodulation of modulated light sources. To prove the validity of our algorithms, we show experimental results using light emitting diode (LED) tag prototypes and a NVS camera. Details of our proposed NVS CamCom system configuration for optimal communications are presented.
