Photodynamic therapy combined with surgery for Hidradenitis Suppurativa: A case report.

•ALA-PDT combined with surgery was adopted in this case to treat Hidradenitis Suppurativa.•In this case, the severity is assessed as grade III HS, with Bacillus cereus infection, which is rarely reported to cause deep soft tissue infection and naturally resistant to several antibiotics.•PDT combined with surgery may directly destroy hair follicles and sebaceous glands, and reduce the bacteria load onto affected areas, helping to shorten the healing time with a lower recurrence rate.
