•Endogenous ET-1 promotes ANP secretion via ETR-COX2-L-PGDS-PPARγ in hypoxic atria.•There is feedback loop between PGD2 and L-PGDS expression in hypoxic atria.•Feedback loop of PGD2 and L-PGDS is part mechanism of ET-1 regulates ANP secretion.•Hypoxia-induced ANP secretion is an atrial function to against endogenous ET-1.
