Efficient Radio Resource Management Scheme in Cooperative Network using Coalition Game

Radio resource management (RRM) will remain one of the key challenges for 5G environment and beyond, as the number of users are increasing exponentially and their demands are becoming more diverse. The availability of resources will remain scarce and only more intelligent and adaptive RRM scheme will be considered for handling the 5G system requirements (i.e., ultra low latency, extremely high data rate and tremendous volume of traffic, etc.). The architecture of 5G will include previous generations and legacy systems which require RRM techniques to be more adaptive and robust in nature. In the presented work cooperative network is used for co-tier interference mitigation and efficient resource allocation. A coalition game is designed where interference and presence of weak users initiate the game, whereas improvement in cell throughput by forming optimal coalitions will be the results of the game. An extensive simulation environment is developed to play the game and the results indicates significant improvement in the users throughput and SINR by coalitions formation through cooperation game.
